Position: CREW LEADER - GENERAL SERVICES - CUSTODIAL SERVICES
  Salary: $17.64-$25.57 Per Hour

Minimum Training & Experience

High school diploma supplemented by one to two years of experience in facilities maintenance and/or custodial operations.  The equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience may be considered.

A valid South Carolina driver's license is required.

HOURS: 5:00AM - 1:30PM MONDAY - FRIDAY

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in custodial maintenance work.  Has knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the industry.
• Ability to ensure safe and effective use of equipment and tools by subordinates.
• Ability to layout and supervise the work of subordinate unskilled and semiskilled employees performing various custodial duties.
• Ability to understand and carry out specific oral or written instructions.
• Ability to perform manual tasks involving physical strength and endurance which involves the lifting, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Ability to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, the general public, and all other internal and external customers.  Personally demonstrates appropriate customer service skills.

Specific Duties

• Performs custodial maintenance of municipal buildings and facilities; performs routine maintenance work as required.
• Inspects work to ensure compliance with division policies, procedures, and standards of cleanliness, quality, and safety.
• Prepares a variety of documents, including but not limited to performance appraisals, daily work reports, equipment and building repair requests, and various other records, reports, memos, and correspondence.
• Performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.
